We are a very active group of around 100 members, with walks or weekends away every week, throughout the year - plus social activities during the week. If you're looking for a lively group of people from a range of backgrounds, then get in touch or just turn up to the next walk.
Where we meetOn Sundays we usually (but check individual walk details) meet at 9.30 am at Bude Street, Exeter (click here for map) to arrange car sharing to the start of the days walk. We suggest passengers make a voluntary donation to help cover the costs of petrol & parking. You can also meet us at the start of the walk.
What to bringBring appropriate footwear & clothing. This will depend on the time of year, walk location and weather conditions (e.g. hats & gloves for walking in cold weather, waterproof clothing if it's wet). Denim jeans are not suitable in cold, wet conditions, as they take a long time to dry out & have a high wind chill factor. Note that if you do not have appropriate equipment and the walk leader feels that a lack of proper footwear or equipment could put you or others at risk, they may have to ask you not to come on the walk. For most walks you will also need to bring a packed lunch and a drink. If you want more advice before coming on a walk, please feel free to contact us.
Please come and join us for up to three walks, after which time we expect you to become a member. The rates are shown below. We have a walks programme with walks every Sunday of the year and some Saturdays. We also organise trips away and social events too. So join now!
